Help Us Give Back!
This year, Apartment Therapy is celebrating the spirit of giving by partnering with DonorsChoose for our 2010 Holiday Giveaway. Just as we're giving away something to you, you can give something back by helping us fund classroom projects around the country. Our goal is $10,000 by December 15th. You don't have to donate to DonorsChoose to be eligible to win one of our giveaway prizes; we just think it's a cool thing to do. Need extra incentive? We'll be tracking our fundraising progress every Friday in a special DonorsChoose post, where we'll also reveal what things the Apartment Therapy Staff is willing to do if we make our goal!>> Check out our Donors Choose page now.

$274 for disposable dishes?!?! Compostable or not, this seems to be a waste.
It must take someone with some serious disposable income to buy $274 disposable tableware.
hmmmmmmmmmm........
I'd much rather wash dishes all night than spend this kind of cash on disposables.
Isn't it more environmentally sound to reuse rather than buy compost-able disposables? This does not strike me as a green solution considering the production involved.
Wow, the price on these just amaze me.
I just cannot enter this giveaway - haha!! The price kills me!!!! I would never be able to bring myself to use these knowing what they cost. For $274 I could get about 8-10 fiestaware sets.
Sorry, I'm sure this has been asked, but I can't find the answer anywhere on this site. Are the winners of all the giveaways listed at some point? Or do you only find out you won by email?
This would add seriously to my daughter's science fair project comparing different compostable products!
the website linked lists this set as $18, is the rest of the prize in cash?
nice~
@Laucus - I think that price is service for 1 and this is service for 12.
@Ollie - they'll announce winners after the contests end.
Swoon, so beautiful!
ditto joyce42 - SWOON @@
~
I adore all of the different unique shapes!!!
interesting....sushi? tapas?
I would want to plate all things delicious, coloful and fresh on these. It would totally elevate simple foods to artful presentations effortlessly.
@Ollie- if you go to the items that have already past their entry date, the winner is listed below the item.
impressive! in more then one way.
if only these were ceramic/stoneware or anything that i wasn't throwing in the trash
I am convinced these plates would make my grilled cheese look quite fancy.
Yes puhLEASE!
Why don't we just buy regular service and throw it away
Thanks for offering this unique prize! I would love to win!
Happy Holidays!
These are beautiful! But I'm not sure I could use them, I wouldn't want to throw them away!!!
I think I would use the pieces as background for my paintings. I would paint designs on them all and use them as artwork. I can close my eyes and imagine what I would put on each piece. To heck with disposable.
Stylish and so user friendly
now this would be some fun plating
love
Very unique.
Actually they're not expensive...if you go to the Wasara website the products can be purchased in bulk at a reasonable price. I don't think they're made to be used by you and me on a daily basis, but rather for special occassions..parties or perhaps by caterers, for example. I hadn't known about the product but am placing a bulk order for their cute disposable cold drink containers (with lids) and possibly their coffee cups as well as a package of plates. I own a small gallery/restaurant and the cold drink containers will add to the atmosphere when I serve fresh lemonade or bubble tea to my "take out" customers. I would LOVE to win this contest so I can test drive the product.
PS...love your site.
So lovely!!!
This is inspired dinnerware! Love it.
Simple yet modern and stylish! Love them.
