Personally, in the mornings, when I'm well rested, the vibration alarm on my cell phone is enough to wake me up. That's pretty indicative of most of us. We tend to think that we won't hear alarms, but in the end, we always do. It's rare for us, not impossible, to actually completely miss an alarm.
