You know the wrought iron window guards you find on lower-level apartment windows? Yeah, they're often ugly, but every once in a while their designs are simply beautiful. Enough to inspire a fabric pattern on a head board in a fancy townhouse:
This headboard has such a fantastic shape even without the scroll pattern. But the pattern works perfectly with the shape and definitely reminds me of beautiful wrought iron scroll work. I think it adds a little weight and architectural interest to the bed. See the rest of this Brooklyn home in House Beautiful.

The pattern is great.
The shape of the headboard is great.
However, two combined seem to fight one another - I think that the fabric would be more effective on a simpler shape and that the shape of the headboard would be better w/ non-geometric pattern.
This reminds me of the beautiful Hermes "alhambra" china pattern....
really dramatic....
If anyone likes the throw on the bed, there is a kind of similar one being given away here http://www.aliceindesignland.com/blog/giveaway-vintage-furniture-rocks.html
