Windy Days in LA: Reporting a Downed Power Line

Uggh, so as you've already likely noticed, our site was down/slow performing until just an hour ago thanks to some technical difficulties with our site provider. Apologies from all of us.

Ontop of the frustration of being locked out of our own system while repairs were being made, our own home office experienced some technical difficulties of our own, as we lost power right as we gained access to our system, caused by some unexpected high gust winds blowing throughout LA all day today knocking down powerlines. Just one of them days, I guess...

Thanks to multiple inquiries and calls to the LADWP in the past for other past issues, I knew they had a 24-hour hotline (1-800-DIAL-DWP/1-800-342-5397) where I could report a power line or other electrical equipment failure. As I was waiting on hold during the call, a LADWP truck rolled down the street, and the maintenance team got working on the line immediately. Power was up and running in two shakes of a lamb's tail and now we're playing catch up (we lost two posts we had in draft mode). Knock on wood, hopefully tomorrow we can return to some normality. But thank you for your patience.
