Light Up Digital Photos with Wine Boxes & Xmas Lights

We're always on the look out for new projects to use our collection of digital photos for. While perusing Etsy's blog, we saw snapshots from an exhibit they hosted in Berlin, which featured pop out light boxes complete with photo prints lit up from behind. We thought the effect could easily be imported to the home.

The mobile displays were designed by Luis Negron and feature interior rooms that, when all three displays are put together, create one large room for people to meet and brainstorm in.

Lamps in these interior rooms light up certain boxes installed on the exterior of the display. The boxes feature large photo prints on their fronts that glow from behind.

The effect could easily be achieved at home using some shallow wine or cigar boxes, LED Christmas lights, and your home printer. Could be a rad and unique way to display some of those photos sitting on your hard drive.
