We were recently at our friend's house, and this friend has such a knack for seeing and creating storage solutions with every day items we normally hadn't considered. Case in point, in her 4-year-old daughter's room she was using a small wine rack for sock storage.

What the what? There it was a dark walnut rack on the wall with several rolled up socks in each section -- like a small sock cubbie. It totally worked and hanging it on the wall it added a touch of whimsy and the unexpected. In her infant son's room, she stored cloth diapers inside of the rack and had it hanging next to his changing table.

Of course, we had to look up some racks and see which ones would work in a child's room for our purposes.
