A whitewashed cottage by the sea is a pretty ideal place to call home. This is especially true when the cottage is a beautifully renovated 19th century net loft painted in muted, coastal hues.
The owners of the house clearly have a knack for details, from small touches of colored glass, to an array of textures in every room, to artful light fixtures. It's a lived-in, elegant space that has new details to discover wherever you look.
- Muted colors and a floor made from wide scaffolding boards make for a serene space to read a paper.
- The kitchen is a seamless mix of worn wood, streamlined white fixtures, and silver accents.
- Vintage details abound, such as the glass panels in the bedroom door, adding a sense of history and one-of-a-kind design to the home.

White Enamel Flatwa...
This is like a dream. Love it!
To each their own, but I find this so bland and boring. I couldn't live without some color! This would be like living in a black and white photo.
I feel chilly just looking at this.
i never thought something like this would appeal to me, but i think it's lovely!
Yes, it's on the stark side, but with such glorious textures. Abundant plants could be compatible with the neutral palette while injecting life and warmth to these spaces. Natural greenery alone would add a lot.
This looks beautiful and amazing. That said I think after like a day in it, it would wear on me. Id start questioning my ability to see color and it seems cold for a seaside home.
I agree w/INCHBRANCH.
My first thought was "throw some blue in there". But I do adore that kitchen and stove. WOW WEE.
I find this very pretty, but I think I would become too depressed living in a place like this one. I need color in my life !
I think I'd be wearing bright colors in this seaside abode. The kitchen is super cool - but more as a study on monochromatic texture than a really liveable space. It just feels so cold. Maybe the light is warmer in real life.
Love it. Sign me up.
Ditto the greenery suggestion. Plus an orange cat.
I, too, love this space. Just my type of living. Clean, cool, crisp. Love it!
