Wire Box: Taming the Cord Monster

Wire Box: Taming the Cord Monster

Here's a quote we thought was worth mentioning by Clara of The Home in Paradise blog. "Wires are the scourge of modern life." And while cord control solutions can get quite elaborate (and even quite creative at times), there's nothing like the good ol' fashioned wire box to keep that excessive cord clutter under control.

In Clara's cute wireless office, she uses her Time Capsule to provide backups and Internet access to her iMac across the room. The printer's also wireless, utilizing the TC's built-in USB port, and while there's plenty of wireless-ness going on here, there's still plenty of wires for concern.

Using a used USPS Priority Mail box taped open, she added internal support using styrofoam and stapled it into place, wrapped it with packing tape, and then added another layer of scrapbooking paper for a customized look.

You can create your own version of Clara's USPS wire box using her How-To over at her blog.
