WMF means "Württembergische Metalfabriken" it is a german brand from the region Württemberg!
And it really only fits the mug that comes with it, but you can order as many as you wish at their site!
I have one myself and it is an easy to use concept and the coffee it makes tastes good but nothing for families etc. (it's more something for singles which I am not but I live on my own!)
Oh I forgot "Württembergische Metalfabriken" means something like: metalfactories from Württenberg.
Annoyed! It doesn't run on 120V, and I was ready to buy one. My coffee maker is kaput. Can we buy this in the US?
You can buy one and have it shipped over but you'll need a voltage converter to run it f you don't want to burn down your house.
After a year of waiting to see if they'd bring it to market, I purchased this one by plusminuszero for $155.00 on eBay and have been very pleased with it's performance so far.
Although Japanese appliances run at 110v instead of 120, it's close enough to use without a converter and has the advantage of brewing both coffee and tea and not being dependent on pods.
