Promotional materials for WOM, arrived in our inbox and we had to share this bizarre, rocking egg chair with our readers. Designed by Barcelona-based firm, Lapaka, WOM is all about creating an intimate space and promoting experimentation. While WOM rocks, its shape and counterweights will keep it upright...
Core77 has a picture of WOM from the Stockholm Furniture Fair last month.

Maybe this is just the last few nights experimental theatre talking, but I dig a chair that tries to create an experience, rather than just being visually engaging and functional. Who am I kidding, I've been looking for a giant egg in my living room for months. (although how surreal fantastic would more than one wom in a room be?.... say half a dozen?)
Ooh, comfy!
I have a feeling that kids would LOVE this thing.
it looks like a good time to me, although being 6'2, i wonder if i'd fit...
Maybe for a cat or a dog...
I love the look of it, but the person inside doesn't look particularly relaxed or comfy.
it's a furniture version of a weeble-wobble, no?
yeah, she looks REAL comfy in that thing... not!
looooove! it's like a weeble.
I was joking above - I hate it! The idea is fine, but the scale's so screwed - that thing looks incredibly uncomortable, the innerspace essentially non-functional. Had they made it a bit larger, so she could comfortably squat inside it as if it were a big pod, it would be cool, particularly with the patented Weeble stabilization effect, but in that image, the thing seems like a total non-starter. Even the shape - that etiolated ovoid - is unappealing.
hot if you're under 16.
not a good photo to use.
and the WOM imprinted on the egg [can be seen in the Core77 picture] is awful.
not hot.
I like it. I think it would be a blast to sit it. In a different color i could totally see it in my house!
I'm not a baby, so it's been a while since my body just automatically curled into that position. Not hot.
It looks awkward and uncomfortable. Just not for me.
