With recent trends towards natural and rustic in the nursery, we've been noticing wood paneling cropping up. Could this be a new design motif for kids' rooms?
Wood paneling on a wall in a nursery or kids' room may seem limiting, but it can be surprisingly diverse. Dark wood gives a modern touch, while natural wood seems more rustic. You can go with a cowboy theme or tend towards rustic or Scandinavian modern.
For most of these rooms, the main consistent detail is wood paneling on only one wall. What do you think? Would you consider wood paneling? Does it add texture to a room or only remind you of 70s decor?

All four walls and the ceiling are wood in my kids' rooms. It makes them very cozy. I also have no qualms about putting nail holes in the wood, so it has not limited my decor choices. The only drawback seems to be that spiders love wood.
