Wood Tiles for the Bathroom

Back in April '06, Janel blogged these stunning mesquite wood tiles from Ann Sacks, which start at $42.62 per sq/ft. For $27 sq/ft we found some alternatives from Anchor Bay Tile. Still a big investment, but the rich rewards (we especially love the idea for the bathroom) could be worth it:

the top one looks a bit uneven - as though i'm looking at the wall of an outdoor shed for some reason. i think larger tiles would work better - and perhaps if the colors were more uniform. 7"x7" may be a good size to start. smaller than that is a little more visually risky, i think.

That look is the whole point of these tiles.

the wood tiles work for me -- just not in a bathroom.

I think they look really nice and warm. Like a cedar sauna, only waaaaay better.

I really like it. Maybe not in a bathroom with a shower but perfect in a dramatic powder room.
