Wooden Computer Accessories: A Greener Take on Tech

There's something attractive about wood, especially when it comes to computer accessories. The stark contrast between the technological and the natural is appealing. While many accessories tend toward metal and minimalism, it's nice to see some that wouldn't look out of place in a log cabin. From DIY projects to new products that were just released, we've compiled our favorites right here!

1. Brando USB Full Keyboard: This beautiful bamboo keyboard comes with a mouse and we have to say that it is impressive. Gadget maker Brando sells this combo for $79. They had a smaller version available a few years ago, and it looks like they updated it.

2. Bamboo Hard Drive: Bamboo is not just good for keyboards and mice, but it can also help cool down hard drives, which can heat up significantly when they are used for many hours in a row. That and the green appeal make this a desirable accessory.

3. Combine Walnut Keyboard Tray: While Apple did their best to minimize the footprint of the keyboard, mouse, and trackpad, it makes sense having a nice tray to put them all back together again. We like this option a lot more than the metal clips we've seen. Combine Collective offers different versions of this tray to suit all users.

4. Woodventure's Carved USB Flash Drives: Depending on how good your are with USB flash drives, because losing these is easy enough, you might want to consider this gorgeous flash drive, that was carved out of a hunk of wood. Woodventure's got a few different models to chose from over at his Etsy store.

5. DIY Wooden Keyboard Enclosure: This doesn't look as good as the bamboo keyboard, but with a little elbow grease, you might be able to get some good results. The whole premise is to change your aging keyboard enclosure for some wood.
