We love the simple lines of these wooden mobiles. Adrift Mobiles is a one-man operation in SOMA crafting mobiles out of bamboo, maple, and walnut. Each of owner Brian Schmitt’s eight designs is finished with non-toxic natural oils. The wood pieces are connected by clear monofilament so they appear to float.
The large mobiles (some styles are over six feet long) disassemble easily thanks to special hardware, so no worries about how to transport it during your next move.
We have the large Samara mobile hanging above our bed to make the high ceilings feel cozier. Lying in bed and watching it turn is one more good reason to sleep in late.
From $144–248 here or in person at Propeller.
