One of our favorite things about this job is finding people who do what they are passionate about and create beautiful things along the way. Sonoma county-based Paul and Elizabeth Kaiser are definitely some of these people, creating furniture and accessories that work with the inherent nature of his materials without using toxic finishes or glues. And it's not all live-edged tables -- click below the jump to see their colorful Adirondack chairs and beautiful cutting boards.

The philosophy of the pair is to "produce fine, custom-made, hand-crafted, hardwood furniture that will
make you feel good" -- something we can definitely get behind.

Karen
the table looks like bacon
i was gonna say the same thing as hdtex
I love the woodworkings of George Nakashima -- the live-edged table is very much in his style, but judging from his other work I think Nakashima would have stained the lighter part of the wood much darker to reduce the high contrast "bacon" effect. I would have preferred that... but still, it's very beautiful as is.
