Woolly Pocket madness seems to be sweeping the nation (or at least San Francisco where they are on display at stores like Candystore Collective, Flora Grubb and Shotwell). If you are hesitant about a wall installation or lack the space for a modular garden, perhaps the new Islands series from Woolly Pocket is right up your alley.
The new freestanding Islands are still constructed from breathable felt made from 100% recycled plastic bottles (PET) and are just as stylish as their predecessors. According to the Woolly Pocket website, "Island's breathable sides allow excess moisture to evaporate while naturally aerating the soil. The built-in moisture barrier helps protect your furniture and floor from getting damp, but take care to water the center over the rootball only, so Island's side can stay dry."
The Islands come in four sizes (Tina, Lana, Steve and Brian) with larger sizes equipped with zippers to allow you to customize the shape. Currently available in black and chocolate, camel hair and peacock blue will be available starting May 15th. Prices range from $29 - $152.
