Wyatt's Old West Nursery

My Room

Name: Wyatt
Location: Boston, Massachusetts (Roslindale)

Before we even knew whether it was a boy or a girl, we knew we would do an Old West theme. Knowing that plenty of color would be added with toys and baby extras, we decided to go with a black and white color scheme (you can always paint later!) The room was a great baby success.

With all the high contrast, Wyatt was constantly interested in his room and loved hanging out in his crib at an early age. As soon as he could pull himself up, the first thing he did was bang on that train as if he'd been planning it for months. The room is decorated with a mix of vintage and modern, both bureaus are family antiques. Vintage art (paint by number) was collected from Etsy and the bear print is from The Wild Unknown. The Winnie the Pooh collection was handmade by Wyatt's great-grandmother. So far people love to give Wyatt cowboys hats and we thought the Pendleton accents topped it all off. We'll have to toddler proof this room soon enough so I'm glad to remember it in its current incarnation. One day Wyatt will want his own theme in his room, spaceship or something else most likely not cowboy related, so we'll enjoy our version of his space as long as we can.
