We pass by here all the time but never knew the depth to this place. Weave by the giant Superman statue and past the great fuchsia couches and there is not only a big back room but a giant basement as well...

Used dental-wear isn't exactly our bag, but there's something kind of great about knowing there's a store in the city that sells them, right? Right? Well, most of it is pretty awesome, and guaranteed if you are having difficulty finding a pharaoh statue or some other slightly eccentric decorative touch, this place will be your go-to.
We also liked that after having tried to take pictures at stores all over Mill Valley, these guys not only gave us free reign but stayed open after quittin' time. Such gentlemen.
Check out their extensive collection online, too.

We've bought a couple of things here over the years, but in general, I think their prices are way too high.
It's a really cool store to go to for inspiration, but unless you've got A LOT of money to burn best to stick to craigslist as most things in X-21 are astronomically priced.
i agree with SFGail & geoff_w...cool place to browse but waaay out of my price range.
Maybe that's a good thing for me anyway.
I know there are some good (albeit expensive) pieces to find in this store, but it SCARES me. It's so over-crowded, cluttered, and dusty/dirty, I only go in there once a year. I'd much rather go to my regular haunts -- The Touch (also dirty/skunky but more reasonably priced and much less cluttered), but, ModernPast (expensive but great selection), and Monument (super-expensive, but beautifully curated).
i have to disagree on several scores. i've bought a few items (from the basement) that were terrific values. sure its cluttered, but its that sort of place... an indoor rummage sale. a lot of the stuff is bizarre but if that's your style the place is great.
I swear the owner is "The Dude" from Big Lebowski. The dude abides, but he doesn't give discounts. Pricey, still their selection is utterly unique.
