Name: Xavier Dean (6 months)
Location: Burleigh Heads, Australia
Creating Xavier's room was so much fun! I spent month after month chasing down special items that would give the room personality while still keeping the serene environment I had set out to create.
The stripes really set the tone for the room, and I added pops of blue to give the room a bit of zing! My favourite item is definitely the 'I Love You More' print, as it really does sum up a mother's love for her baby, and I think the driftwood 'hanging wardrobe' is to die for!

Shaw's Original Fir...
I did this in my bedroom once, with two shades of yellow. My living room was a great dark Frenchy-yellow, then you walked into the bedroom, and it was the same yellow, with a slightly lighter color as the other stripe. It was beautiful and made a small bedroom expand in size.
oh, p.s., the key for me was getting the colors very close in shade, so the idea wasn't overwhelming. I like this grey.
This is so gorgeous! Lucky Baby!
Super cute, though I wonder how long that (incredibly inventive) low-hanging clothes rod will last. I'm guessing the utility ends about two days after young Mr. Xavier becomes mobile.
Whimsical & relaxing! Love the butterfly mobile!
Light and airy, how lovely!
Such a wonderful room. I love the clothing rod and I am sure he will too. Cheers from the mama of an Xavier Max!

How is the branch hung?
very nice! thinking of ordering a pouf - are you happy with the quality of this site?
Good googly moogly this is gorgeous. Replace the crib with a queen and I'll be able to move right in.
Thanks everyone! I am posting a photo of a now 8 month old Xavier playing in his room on my blog later today:)
Coconutzinger - the hanging wardrobe is still intact but I'm sure he will start crawling very soon!
Memobaby - we screwed two bolts in underneath the shelves and attached the branch using very strong fishing wire.
Alainnotebook - the Ada and Darcy pouffe is very well made, unfortunately I don't think they make this colour anymore, but they have a ton of other great colours.
Hope this helps!
xx
Hi there: Beautiful nursery... Can you source the butterfly mobile over the crib?
Hi Prescott
I purchased the mobile in store from Adairs - their website is adairs.com.au
If you are unable to purchase one online I have seen a lot of similar ones on etsy.com
Thanks!
Kelle
That's the most subtle and effective use of wall decals I've ever seen. The swath of butterflies doesn't hit you over the head; reinforces an idea from elsewhere in the room; softens the stripes without insulting them. Beautifully done.
Adorable room!
I could totally see a DIY of that mobile. Purchase a jumbo butterfly punch, cardstock, some fishing line, and a metal hoop.
Thanks for sharing :)
