How about some music with your coffee? On the table, that is. We've talked about musical furniture before, but how about this rainbow-colored coffee table-slash-xylophone?
When we spotted this pine table on the Washington Post Express' Night Out we knew we'd found something special.
They go for $950, by Jellio Designs. We could see this in a kid's room, a multi-pupose family room, or a small space. Good for a music lover or just a child at heart.

White Enamel Flatwa...
love it! how fun & colorful!
Perfect for a children's room...but I think it clashes with the beautiful rug and grownup furniture.
I love this. I would build a room around it.
It is super cute, but not worth $950.
$950 seems quite steep for this table.
The table is nice and would be awesome in a kid's room, but it seems to me that it can easily be DIYed for significantly less than the quoted price.
Oh my goodness, I love it! I can't imagine it in a living room but it would be a fantastic game room piece.
Fun! Got to agree that $950 seems a bit much. $450 perhaps?
And shouldn't one be able to actually play it?
I want to see this at a daycare or pediatrician's office. Also, it needs to be tuned and playable. Otherwise I will DIY it, thank you very much.
I can hear the plinking now!
Very gay pride.
Aww, its so cute! Cooler if you could play it, for sure.
i'm pretty sure it is tuned and play-able, which is probably why it costs so much.
I do enjoy this table, but hate the rainbow colors. Not sleek at all.
I might pay $950 if it was enameled metal and could be played like a real xylophone. It would be a great piece for a kid's playroom.
Not worth the cost, but very neat for a kid's room.
I think it's one of those ideas that seem a lot cooler on paper. First I thought it would be great for a child's room. But really, which kid would want a xylophone that doesn't play any sound? I mean every kid has seen a thing with rainbow colored bars that plays notes, so one that doesn't play anything is just broken xylophone.
Yes, the website does say that it plays. So I guess it's not so DIY-able. Bummer.
This would be a HUGE hit in the waiting room of the children's clinic I work in. Maybe AT can get one for a give-away?!? Apparently, most agree it is priced too high to be a realistic consideration in any child centered space.
