Yamaha's BODiBEAT

Forgive us for straying a bit more into lifestyle than homestyle with this one... the Yamaha BODiBEAT seems like a great concept for those who want workout tunes that speed up and slow down at the same rate as your heartbeat. We know when we're jamming to re-mixes, an increase in beats per minute definitely helps us keep the pace going. How does this match our heart rate? It contains an accelerometer that links to the earphone-mounted pulse monitor, switching songs as you speed up and slow down. Although the BODiBEAT doesn't remix the tempos of your songs, it does provide a range of preloaded beat loops that remix with tempo changes. Maybe this would make housecleaning more fun?? Aesthetically, this definitely isn't an Apple product, but at the same time, it's not going to be distracting from the work at hand, at least based on its looks. It comes with only 512 MB of memory, so this isn't likely to replace your current digital music player; it retails for $299. -Via Engadget.
