There's no question that the makers of these eco-conscious chairs, Toronto's Brothers Dressler, carefully considered each detail of their design, down to the nuts and bolts (literally!). But what I'm not convinced about is whether they are worth their price tag...
...$850 PER chair! I've never claimed to be frugal—I purchase product for the ages, which is often more expensive, but I'm just not okay with that price.
When I think about the economics behind its manufacturing inputs—unstable school chairs, existing felt, salvaged hardware, wool and locally-sourced walnut—I repeat to myself (as Seth Meyers on SNL does): Really!?! Really!?!
Do you think these pieces are worth their price tag...yay or nay?
