Yellow and gold toned accessories belong together like ham and cheese in a sandwich. They have a warm glow that'll make you melt, while giving instant style and pizazz to your space. These 10 yellow and vintage brass accessories will do the job to your heart's content.
Customize the look. If these yellows are too strong for your liking, try mellow lemon or earthy mustard. Likewise, brass can be customized too. Allowing brass to oxidize will deepen the color and take away the shiny finish.

I desperately want that brass pig, but $125...yikes.
Yellow is not a favorite color nor is brass a favorite metal, but I too think tht brass pig is a hoot!
I just inherited those brass deer from my father-in-law... but I spray painted them glossy white.
I disagree. I don't think yellow and brass go together at all. You definitely cannot compare them to a ham and cheese sandwich. Maybe a peanut butter and pickle sandwich would be a better comparison. bleh.
I think it's interesting that none of the example pictures actually combine yellow and brass together. Find me a good example, and I might change my mind.
I absolutely agree with you TRISTACOOP. It is not a combination that does justice to either colour.
I do not see a SINGLE pic of yellow & brass. Help me out here as I'm apparently lost (?) That said (and not being a fan of brass in general despite owning a few select pieces) I find the combination UNppealing in the extreme. And judging from the comments that actually relate to the topic (a rare thing indeed) I'm not alone.
I love the combo. Actually, this is close to the combo in my rental now. Lots of wood furniture, gold, silver (from mirrors mainly) and then a bit of yellow here and there for accent pieces.
Guess I like everthing that's yellow & none of the brass.
OH! I just figured it out! *Hand Smacking Forehead* It's NOT about "Color Pairing Yellow and Brass". It's about us all getting tricked into looking at an advertisement for $300 ottomans and a $150 yellow side tables! Notice everything has a price tag next to it. The "author" of this "article" was trying to figure out how to tie it all together & make it appear legit by using the "ham & cheese sandwich" metaphor- the Brass Pig (Ham) and the Yellow accessories (Cheese being yellow). Truth is, yellow and brass do NOT go together. Yucky yuck. It would be like orange and pewter. Or brown and lead. Bleck!
