I'm a sucker for yellow! Great, uplifting color- what better way to start the day than in this sort of atmosphere.
Yellow is so hard for the eye to process. It makes me want to look away. I sure do love it in small doses, though!
WHERE WHERE WHERE can I find that electric clock in the first pic....Anyone?
I want that clock too!
The Big Flip Calendar Clock was one of Maxwell's Daily Finds.
I am always shocked that people like yellow rooms. Whenever I am in them they make me actively edgy and uncomfortable. Color psychology, I guess!
Usually when I see people actually try to execute yellow, it just looks awful. It takes a lot of curating of the rest of your stuff to pull off a strong, vibrant yellow. That first picture really does it for me, with the whole south of France cottagey thing thrown off kilter by the yellow and the retro futuro wall clock/calendar. How fun!
Only in the kitchen.
I love all these rooms.
Yellow = happy.
I wonder if all us "yellow" contestants would get along, or would we all be irritated by each other, because we are so similar?

I never thought that yellow made a good room color until I worked in an office that was an old Victorian house and the purchasing manager painted her office in a great golden yellow color with a french provincial feel to it.
It always gave me a boost when I walked in there.
