Bigger is better. We got so beat up last week recommending Lighting By Gregory and then having all these negative comments about the store come in, that we are giving it another shot (btw - the comments were much appreciated).
YLighting is a recent find. A true internet business, it was started in 2001 and now boasts that it is the largest U.S. online retailer of contemporary lighting. Their aim has been to do what DWR has done for modern furniture: make it accessible and always in stock. Oh, but there is one thing YLighting does that DWR doesn't, it keeps its prices low.
What you will find: standard and hard to find lighting, floor and table lamps, indoor and outdoor lighting, track and recessed lighting, as well as fans. Most major brands are reprsented, including cool European companies such as Flos, Foscarini and Luceplan.
And Price? Good, but didn't blow us away.
We priced the Tolomeo classic table lamp:
YLighting - $291
Artemide - $265
DWR - $320
And the Pablo Pardo Ventana Lamp:
YLighting - $722
Pablo Designs - $750
DWR - $750
Of course, YLighting will sell itself by having everything in stock and ready to ship (heard that before?) and with lighting, this can make a huge difference. MGR

Really? Has any of you ever tried returning products back to YLighting?
We ordered a lamp from them about a month and half ago. The package was delivered in a broken box (you can see the cords through the holes). So we called them, they made no apologies and expected us to haul the 30-lbs broken package and drop it off at a UPS store (and the representative told us to hurry because it's valid for only 10 days).
At the end, after 4 days of numerous messages and calls, we persuaded them to pick up the package. The light has since been accepted and returned – two weeks ago, and we're still waiting for our refund. No word from them about our refund and our emails have not been answered.
We have done plenty of in-person and internet shopping and this, by far, is the worst customer service we've ever had to dealt with.
