Yoffy is an artist based out of Santa Monica. His work "attempts to define the graphics of today while paying tribute to the crisp, cool simplicity of the 60's and 70's." That it does.
Yoffy uses images that meld with the funkafied style seen in silk-screen posters of yesteryear. Afro chicks, sex and the Beatles are all represented in Yoffy's art.
There is a rather earnest statement, with talk about how his "choice of imagery is often infused with tongue in cheek commentary on the trends and social issues permeating the public conscious..." That may be true, but the art seems much more simple than that. Simple, hip, and young.
