Mountain Lake Lodge is in Pembroke, Virginia, and was chosen by the Dirty Dancing producers for its vintage look, making the 1987 film feel like 1963. Plus, since the movie had a low budget, some of the cast and crew stayed on the property.
You can go at any old time and book the cabin Baby's family stayed in, or Mountain Lake hosts three Dirty Dancing-themed weekends a year, complete with sock hop, a screening of the movie, a watermelon toss, group dance lessons, and a scavenger hunt.
