Perhaps I have tattoos on my mind because I just took portraits of a friend's amazing full-body ink, but these ceramic pieces based on tattoo designs have got me thinking…
I think it would be intriguing and beautiful to have your tattoos made into pieces that could be displayed in your home. Some tattoos never see the light of day, and some are just so gorgeous they deserve more attention. If you have tattoos you love, how would you like to see them reproduced? As patterns on your sheets? Adorning ceramics, like the work of Ink Dish? As the letterhead on your stationery?

Ed Hardy has a ceramics line now?
Very cool idea! While I dislike tattoos for myself,
I can appreciate them on others. How about tattoo wallpaper?
This is a beautiful idea, but too expensive for my budget. At $70 for a 4 piece set, I could not afford to have friends over :(
yes, ed hardy has tons of homegoods for sale on the floor and shelves of your local Ross.
I design all my tattoos, so I have the original artwork framed and displayed in my apartment. I do like those ceramics though, much classier than all the bedazzled Ed Hardy junk.
I think personalized ceramics designed around your tattoos would be cool. Also, it could be a really cool unusual gift to give to your sweetheart, provided they love your tattoo to :)
I like this idea. I'm thinking of the cool Maori and Polynesian designs that lend themselves to tattoos and decor.
not fornissetti but lovely nonetheless ;)
I'd rather have tattoos on my dishes than on my skin. I can't stand the same hairstyle for more than a few years, the idea of permanent decoration (that HURTS to have removed, if it's possible at all) on my body is just out of the question! (Maybe temporary tats??)
Some tattoos are worthy of display (how about a closeup color photo, assuming the area isn't TOO provocative??) (I'm thinking a sexy back, for example...). Some aren't.
love the dishes. the picture shows up very yellowish-peachy on my screen. had to photoshop it to get it to something close to black and white. is there something i should correct in my display settings?
That's funny, I based my tattoo off a piece of china.

I have a large dogwood chest piece that I'd love to see on stationery or fabric for pillows or curtains. I'd never thought about it before but what a good idea!
