What's a cross between a robe and a blanket? A ranket? Perhaps, but that doesn't sound as cozy as the "Blanquette" by Yumi & Laurie. How to pronounce it, we couldn't tell you, but we can tell you what it's made out of and where to find one...

The Blanquette is made up of 50% certified organic cotton and 50% bamboo fibers. Apparently it feels kind of like a turkish towel (hence our comparison to a ranket), but is 6'6" x 4'9" in dimension, so you can cuddle up under it. We're not sure if we've ever considered using a towel as a blanket or vice versa, and considering the price ($225) we might just curl up under our Pottery Barn bath sheet and call it a day. The colors and designs are pretty appealing, though. What do you think?

Those look surprisingly similar to towels we had in our bathroom in the late 70s/early 80s.
So it's just a giant towel? Seems like a waste of money.
Does not say whether or not those organic fibers are vegetable dyed or standard chemical dyes to get those strong colors.
I will stick with cashmere for that price.
Hmm...Blanquette is a stew with white sauce. I agree, though, that $225 for a big towel is ridiculous.
I agree with valleyval... This may be an odd question, but does anyone know of a source for towels in that 70's/80's style??? Can be new or not new, I love that style of towel and I use them for everything in my home! I have no idea where to look for more though--mine came from my grandma's house!
Looks like a posh version of what they call a "towel-ket" in Japan, which are meant to be used when you sleep, not when you take a bath.
I love your comments about my product. It has never been called a Ranket. It is a blanQuette a cross between a blanket and the traditional japanese towelkette; so there!
But I love your view of my blanQuettes.
Thank you! I would love to hear more!

Thank you to Miyuki Mouse who actually gets it. We are a posh version. Did we do a good job?
