Private patios off of each room overlook the Turkish Mesa, and soft upholstered Turkish pillows make the amazing stone setting look cozy. The decor throughout the hotel is an homage to the traditional regional history--there are antiques and handcrafted furniture pieces abound. Traditional Ottoman style warms up and softens the amazing stone surfaces.
We can imagine what a unique experience it would be to stay here, but we'll have to settle for swooning over the photos for now. Take a closer lookat this stunning and unique architecture and decor. The rugs and textiles alone make it worth the visit...

5th Century cool!
What's the bathroom situation?
Amazing. I too would love to know what the bathroom sitch is.
We stayed in a similar cave hotel in Cappadocia for our honeymoon, and it was an incredible, unique experience! Oh, and the bathrooms are modern inside.
I've been planning my stay in a Cappadocian cave hotel (there are many in the area) for years, but my plans keep getting shanghaied. One of these days.
The bathrooms, as @human typewriter points out, are all you'd want them to be.
I stayed at a cave hotel in Cappadocia two summers ago...the suite had a small living room, bedroom and modern bathroom plus a fireplace--which I didn't use as it was summer. Apparently, Cappadocia is very popular with the Japanese during the winter and, since it snows there, the fireplace is put to use. I highly recommend Cappadocia... the people are friendly and the ancient Christian sites are amazing.
Awesome, awesome, awesome.
Looks dated :-}
Love, love, love it! Have been to other parts of Turkey and can't wait to visit Cappadocia some day:-)
I stayed in this hotel a few years ago. Yes, it is quite modern and has all the amenities you could wish for. Don't think for a minute that "cave hotels" are primitive. In fact, we were surprised to see solar panels on many of the roofs in Cappadochia! Turkey is my favorite place to vacation- it's gorgeous, the food is great, the people are lovely and it's not very expensive.
How do you find out prices / make a booking? I'm completely failing to find the links.
It is amazing, the city is beautiful, Turkey is blessed with a lot of interesting places. These hotels are beautiful and not as expensive as it looks, actually there are others like Yunak but less expensive. There is a little bit of humidity in part because of the "cave" situation but is a must see.
My husband and i spent 4 days in Cappadocia during our amazing month-long Turkish honeymoon. Our cave hotel/hostel was adorable and cheap - about $20 US a night - including breakfast. Remember Cappadocia is the region and there are several towns/villages in the area. We stayed in Ürgüp and day tripped. The underground cities are incredible. try this link for pricing http://www.hostelbookers.com/hostels/turkey/cappadocia/
Also Olympus has the most amazing treehouses and timy bungalows - just a mile from the beach and you walk through orchards and greek/roman ruins.
I've stayed here!! One of the coolest hotels I've had the opportunity to stay in. And, despite the fact that it was carved out of a hill, it was very luxurious.
I have to go back to Turkey, man. What a great place to visit.
That is awesome. I love it. Would love to go check it out.
My boyfriend and I stayed in the Traveler's Cave Hotel in Goreme, Cappadocia. We had a fantastic time! Our room was beautiful, the bathroom was stunning, and the owner was so much help! He helped us schedule our whole time there--horseback riding through the fairy chimneys, a bus tour & hiking trip in the ilhara valley, and a sunset hike through the fairy chimneys. The hotel was surprisingly affordable, as well, especially compared to the outrageous prices some of the other cave hotels charge.
Check out Traveler's Cave Hotel! I highly recommend it!

thank you!
I have traveled on vacation to Turkey 18 times in 8.5 years. During my trips, I have stayed 12 times at Yunak Evleri located on the outskirts of Urgup in the Cappadocia region of Turkey. At that luxurious cave hotel, guests can relax on the terrace next to the lava rock fireplace featured in the photograph. The rooms have hardwood floors, beautiful carpets, and brass or wrought iron beds. And the bathrooms are marble with volcanic tuff ceilings. You can live like Fred Flintstone in style!
The surrounding region of Cappadocia certainly qualifies as one of the world's most fascinating places. This unusual area is unparalleled for its otherworldly lunar landscape punctuated by volcanic fairy chimneys and basalt-capped mushrooms, striated mesas, rugged valleys, underground cities, and cave churches and monasteries. For stunning panoramas and a bird's-eye view, fly in a hot-air balloon.
Yunak evleri is a very beautiful hotel. There are many other hotel cave hotel options in Cappadocia. I have found a very informative web site where many cave hotels are listed.
