It's Halloween, and Stillwater, everyone's favorite Zen panda, is back with another tale that means a lot more than it says.
Stillwater appears in two previous books by Jon J. Muth, Zen Shorts and Zen Ties. He's a giant panda with a heart of gold and plenty of lessons to teach kids Michael, Karl, and Addie, who become his friends. In this recent installment, the children finish trick-or-treating and discover that Stillwater has a final surprise in store for them. He introduces a mysterious storyteller who will relate a chilling tale that will leave the kids filled with wonder.
These books are gorgeously illustrated in watercolor, and the messages run deep. Kids of all ages (including parents!) will learn a little something.

I loved Zen Shorts...I'll have to get this one too - thanks for sharing!
And I'll admit, I bought it for the artwork. :)
Read it before purchase. These are the only books that my toddler doesn't like. Really clunky text.
Senjo is one of my favorite ghost stories (so no bias here, haha). A truly beautiful book, and has been quite sought after at the book store I work at. The story isn't really aimed at toddlers... more for the read-alone age kids and the almost-too-old-for-picture-book kids.
my kid do not get ZEN SHORTS. i don't think i get it.
