Here's a cute idea to bookmark for later when the kids are out of school and the temperatures are soaring. It's a special accessory for the Zoku Quick Pop Maker (check out the product review over at The Kitchn) that enables you to create fruit faces and designs on your frozen pops.

The Zoku Quick Pop Character Tool Kit contains 14 stencils and a faceplate to which you adhere the fruit shapes before sliding into the mold. You can customize the faces and designs any way you like, and if the pops end up looking anything like the photos, then we think it's a pretty fun idea.
Available exclusively at Williams-Sonoma, $14.95

Granted, these are very cute. OTOH I'm having a hard time integrating yesterday's piece on unnecessary baby equipment (Rocking Chairs!!) with a $50 ice lolly maker.
I never even use my plastic $2 one from Target.
Yes, very cute, but my word at the price of the character kit plus maker! I think my kids will be just fine with the $2 one I have been using to make pudding pops and fruit pops.
We have a Zoku popsicle maker and it is used almost every night and for playdates during the hot Texas spring and summers. Last spring my son started asking for dessert every night. Since we believe in only having sweets rarely but didn't want him to become obsessed with something he couldn't have we got the Zoku. He loves cutting whatever fresh fruit is in the fridge and making popsicles. It's especially handy when he's sick with a fever and doesn't want to eat because we can get him to eat some fruit this way.
