As we've written before, Zonal Home is full of surprises. This Hayes Valley store and home interiors business features American country antiques -- and new, contemporary upholstered furniture. Owner Russell Pritchard originally added the upholstery to showcase the way antiques and new pieces can co-habitate, but these pieces are a small custom business in their own right.
This is in part because they are quite a deal. Styling is similar to C&B or Pottery Barn, but the prices are better and Russell's know-how and service add considerably to the value.

Our favorites, for their clean shapes and slender perches, are the mustard-colored pieces. (Kennedy? Zachary? Hard to tell from the website.)
ZH's sofas, if covered in stain-resistant microfiber, range from $1100 for a 60" piece to $1300 for 82". Sectionals are $2200 and comfy-looking chairs are $850. They can also be purchased in a variety of leathers.
