NY1 News reports this morning that the USOC has selected an architect for the Olympic Village in Queens. The four high rises and “ribbon of low rises” are to be converted into residential housing for 18,000 following the would-be games. The winning architect is California-based firm “
Morphosis,” a name which naturally makes us think of both the Matrix and Kafka. From what I understand, we will need Neo to get involved if we are to have a prayer of landing the 2012 games. And if we do, “Kafka-esque” is the word that comes to mind.
