A bad thing. In this week’s
New Yorker,
Jeffrey Toobin does us the justice of telling as much of the story behind the story as we have so far. Unwilling to admit a lie or a serious problem, chances were missed, a defense was bungled and a fairy tale came to an end. At the center of it all is the story of modest, self creation meeting irrepressible ambition. As with Macbeth, there is no joy in Mudville.
