8 Cheap & Simple Products to Help Organize Your Drawers

Organization can only go so far without the right tools. To make matters worse, after we empty the budget on the new computer, desk, and chair, not much is left for those small but ever so important odds and ends which will keep our workspace from turning into one giant junk drawer. After the jump we'll show you some inexpensive and stylish products that will help you organize your storage spaces.

IKEA FÖRHÖJA Cutlery Trays ($5.99-$9.99)
Although their original use was intended for kitchen utensils there is no reason these wooden boxes can't function as drawer organizers as well. Their wooden handles make them easy to remove from your drawer if you need a closer look at whatever you're trying to find. They also come in two sizes.

IKEA RUSTIK ($29.99)
Again, clearly a cutlery tray but we really liked the wood's color and think this could blend in nicely with many cherry wood desks. And as a bonus you'll get some extra utensils along with your purchase!

West Elm Wooden Boxes w/ Lacquered Lids ($14 - $29)
We use a similar, older model for our drawers from West Elm (seen in the first image). They're high quality and high on style — so much so that you might want to leave them out on your desk altogether. The variety of sizes make them flexible enough to fit your needs.

Container Store's Acrylic Notepad Holder ($9.99)
Clear, acrylic organizers always make us hesitate since they often make your drawers look messy and cluttered even if everything is neatly organized in its place. But there's nothing wrong with storing some clean, white printer/note paper in your drawers this way.

See & Store Containers & Strip ($9.99)
These tiny containers are perfect for pushpins, paperclips, and more. Hang them on your wall or lay them flat in rows in your drawer.

Axis Wooden Drawer Dividers (Set of 2) ($14.99)
Depending on your needs, individual boxes might not work for you. Using expandable dividers will help you separate the space in your drawers in whatever proportions you'd like so you're not wasting precious space that you need.

CB2 Birch Storage Boxes (set of 4) ($29.95)
These, again, are so nice looking they can sit right on your desk. And since they come in a set you have some added options as to what you'd like to use them for. We think the biggest box would make a nice charger valet if you drill holes in the back for the cables.

EcoGen Storage Box ($.99 - $2.99)
We absolutely love these small, futuristic boxes. They range from the super-small to medium size and are so cheap you can buy them by the handful! The best part is that they're environmentally friendly and are actually biodegradable. They're perfect for an office or craft room. We think we're going to place an order right now…
