9 Well Designed Dog Toys: Aesthetically Pleasing Things to Chew On

No matter how much we love our homes, animal lovers realize that some concessions have to be made for our pets. Dogs need things to lay on and things to chew almost as much as they need things to bark at incessantly for no reason.

Unfortunately, they're not often quite as good as children at putting their toys away, so most dog owners are used to having random toys scattered hither and dither around the house. To take away some of the sting of disorder, check out some of these aesthetically pleasing dog toys.

• Mustache Dog Toy — Moody Pet $9.34
While your dog will inevitably defeat this toy by chewing up the wrong ends, you'll at least be able to take pictures of him with a great hipster 'stache.

• Kong Dog Toy — Petco $6.29-$18.39
I never really noticed what great lines a Kong dog toy has. These toys have hollow centers so you can put food inside, and the dog will spend the rest of the day making sure he's gotten it all out.

• Crochet Squeak Toy — Martha Stewart $9.59
These toys are cute enough you could keep them around even if you didn't have a dog. And in purely anecdotal information, my sister's little spaniel has had much less luck destroying his crocheted chick than he had destroying other plush dog toys.

• Dog Perignon Champagne Toy — Pampered Dog $9.99
A plush, chewable Champagne bottle for your dog. Classy!

• Eggplant Toy — Wagsandwiggles $9.99
Eggplants are possibly the funniest fruit, don't you think?

• Robot Dog Toy — Mungo & Maud $25.91
As awesome as this crocheted robot is, at $25.91 I'd probably be tempted to keep it for myself.

• Striped Doxy — Wagsandwiggles $10.99
This fabric dog toy probably won't last forever, but it's sure cute.

• Rope Knot Dog Toy — Multi Pet $13.23
This dog probably lives in Montauk.

• Dinosaur Nylabone — Nylabone $7.57
I never realized Nylabone made dinosaurs, and this all-white version is epic. Goodness, at this point I just want to put all the dog toys on my mantle and the dog can go ahead and have my shoes.
