I'm in the process of slowly cleaning up my backyard, and along with actual gardening chores, I've also been purging and organizing my outdoor space. With a tiny bit of headway, along with way too many bags of soil and mulch unloaded and stacked, I'm ready to reward my efforts with a few of these practical yet ridiculously stylish storage options.

Pictured above: I decided it's time to upgrade my backyard compost bin this year, as I've outgrown the free black plastic eyesore that's been taking up premium real estate for years. I would love to spring for this handsome cedar option from Williams-Sonoma Agrarian collection.

Who says you have to stare at unsightly garbage or recycling bins? This modern unit by Ubisu is a compact solution, prefabbed in either 1, 2 or 3 sections. But you could easily come up with your own solution if you're handy. See Five Modern Screens for Outdoor Garbage Bins.

I need a new hose this year and I've become obsessed with all the beautiful and functional hoses on the market now! Forget hiding it out of sight. I won't mind seeing my shiny new olive or eggplant hose resting on this brass hose mount.

A much better way to keep your twine tidy and in sight. It's a go to in my garden and Terrain's powdercoated tin twine dispenser would be a handy addition.

I wish I was better organized with my seeds and note taking. Perhaps filing them away in this stylish seed packet organizer from Crimson & Carrot would be all the motivation I need (sigh, if only!). It also keeps your seeds airtight and comes with monthly dividers, seed envelopes and pencils.

If you have an outdoor fire pit, here's a chance to make a statement piece out of your firewood! Weird, but I love the soothing repetition of stacked wood. This wrought iron hoop is an affordable option to boot at $112.

I just turned my vintage clam basket into a kindling holder which will be handy when starting fires this season. You can find many different vintage options, similar to this one from the Etsy shop AlloftheAbove, either online or at antique stores.

Galvanized bins, like this one from cb2, are great for outdoors or dirty gear because they're durable and rust proof. I like this one because of the casters and powdercoted black interior, but you can find a wide assortment of galvanized bins/containers on the market to fit your most vexing storage need.

This zinc accordion rack can be adjusted to fit your space and will be durable outside. The five hooks are the perfect place for tools, gloves, aprons and hats.

This Canoe exclusive garden tote is the perfect gift for the gardener that has everything. Made by Portland-based Beckel Canvas Products (a company that must know what they're doing with over 40 years experience!), this tote is crafted of 20 oz. canvas and has a moisture resistant vinyl bottom.
