If your fantasies revolve more around kitchen tiles and window treatments than the latest movie star hunk or leading lady, you just might be a "designsexual," someone who cares more about design than dating! We have ten (lighthearted, tongue-in-cheek) signs you might be a designsexual...

This post was inspired by a comment we spotted on our Facebook page earlier this week written by an Apartment Therapy reader: "I could only date someone that has the same taste as me. I am not even bothered about their gender or the way they look as long as we like the same chairs." If you feel the same, you might agree with the signs below, too!

1.Your idea of a hot date is assembling a new IKEA piece, rearranging all your furniture and then spending the rest of the night browsing Apartment Therapy. While drinking wine.

2. The most important element you think about when considering letting a significant other move in with you is whether their furniture will fit in with your home's current look.

3. Your Pinterest home inspiration boards see more swiping than your Tinder app.

4. Forget piles of dirty magazines — you've got years of IKEA catalogs under your bed.

5. You've broken up with someone over their inability to understand your need to paint a room's walls matte black.

6. Size does matter. Sheet thread counts under 300 are a deal breaker.

7. You always go Dutch on a first date. And by that, you mean checking out the Rem Koolhaas collection at MoMA.

8. You can look past a toupée. As long as you're looking past it into an artfully decorated living room.

9. Diamond ring? You're hoping they propose with an Eames Lounge Chair instead.

10. Meeting their parents is a breeze. You're more nervous about finally showing them the storage container of mid-century modern chairs you've been hoarding collecting for years.

And of course...this post was meant for a laugh! But for fun, what's your score? Are you a "designsexual"? Or are you the complete opposite, a design asexual — someone who doesn't care about what your home looks like (the perfect live-in partner for a designsexual, no doubt)? Weigh in in the comments below!
