2005 Un-Gift Guide: Beethoven at the Disney Concert Hall
We love Brooks Brothers (One year we begged for monogrammed boxers- our 16 year-old idea of ultimate luxury). We love the Disney Concert Hall because it makes an otherwise ugly downtown LA feel like Oz, and we love Beethoven (when the other kids were obsessed with the Bay City Rollers, we were writing “Beethoven is Dyn-o-mite all over our notebooks…)
Here’s a gift with all three things rolled up into one!
For a very steep price of $295 Brooks Brothers is offering premium orchestra seats to see the fabulous Esa-Pekka Salonen conducting the LA Phil. There are two choices: Beethoven’s 5th (the classic) or the 9th (our favorite). Also included is an invited backstage tour of the spectacular hall plus a reception with members of the orchestra and guest artists.
PS: there are $20 tickets for those who can’t afford to, or don’t need to hang back stage after the show.
