As turkey day and eggnog day quickly approach, any shortcut preparing meals is welcome news. The Steam Tower by Menu and Christian Bjorn is just that. It is a set of three tiers of porcelain bowls that uses steam to cook three dishes at once. This little number not only saves energy and space, it also makes healthy cooking easy to do. Read more for additional information on the Steam Tower.

The Steam Tower works in the oven over water. As the heat of the oven evaporates the water into steam, the steam rises and moves from one bowl to the next through the holes at the base of each bowl. Taking its cue from traditional Asian bamboo steamers, the Steam Tower modernized the original with easy-to-wash porcelain.

Porcelain ceramic is biodegradable and nontoxic to indoor air quality. With proper handling, porcelain ceramic is a long-lasting material. The Steam Tower is also energy efficient because three dishes can be cooked at once. Last but not least, it is multifunctional. Why spend energy washing separate cookware and serveware? This little number goes from the oven to the table. Just place a plate underneath the perforated bowls to catch drips.
