3 Classy DIY Cement Planters

As planting season grows on into the summer, we were on the look out for some classy looking planters to personalize for our home. I love the study quality of cement planters but they can be a pain to move, and sometimes hard to turn into something warm and welcoming inside of your home. I think these easy, upcycled, cement planter ideas from Centsational Girl just may do the trick to transform our new place into a real home.

One of the pieces I love the most about this DIY project, is the opportunity to reuse plastic that you may have laying around your apartment. The Juice Jug planter's lines add points of interest, and little deli containers or large plastic storage bins can all be repurposed equally well. It seems like there is so much excess plastic that can be immediately repurposed into useful items around the house that recycling it isn't as appealing as the creative opportunities it provides. I also love how she added stripes and color to transform the cement from rocky and ruddy into pops of color around her home.

At Re-Nest, we love new ideas on how to find posh planters and reuse items around the house, like packaging, and transform them into gorgeous planters and window displays.

Any more ideas on what types of plastic containers you could use to create interesting cement planters?
