3 Furniture DIYs to Get Your Creative Juices Flowing

What does summer mean to you? While for some of us, the heat and long days mean plenty of time to spend at the pool, others get the itch to start new projects. If this sounds like you, look no further than this roundup of DIY furniture projects, all with helpful videos to get you started. We've ranged then in order from least to most ambitious, so whether you're new to the world of DIY or a seasoned veteran, there's something here for you.

Who doesn't love a good IKEA hack? In the very first Apartment Therapy Video to run on our site, Maxwell showed how to turn an IKEA Frosta stool into something a little more like its Aalto counterpart.

This project comes from Kasey Henke, the co-owner of a vintage living co-op in Iowa. This quick video has all the instructions you need to turn a vintage shoe form into a lamp. It's easier than you might think.

And lastly, if you're feeling more ambitious, here's a video from maker John Gleeson Connolly about making a mosaic table. If you like the idea, here's a little further inspiration: previous Apartment Therapy house tour hosts Reese and Sarah have two beautiful handmade mosaic tables, one in the living room and one in the den, and Crafster member Redflag made one featuring the Simpsons. (Yes, the Simpsons.)

Thanks for watching, and happy DIY-ing!
