Name: James (9), John (7), Margaret (5)
Location: Woodley Park, Washington, D.C.

My three kids share a bedroom in our 2-bedroom DC apartment. I wanted to give them each personal space for sleep, treasures, and lounging. I didn't want to spend a fortune. With high ceilings, I used the vertical space in the room.

With room bump outs, doors, and the radiator to work around, everything barely fit. The kids worked together to "decorate" their spaces that fit their personalities and needs. I directed them a bit so it wouldn't clash, making the room look disjointed.
