3 Ways to Banish Stress at Home
Let 2016 be the year where you don’t let stress get the upper hand. Help this resolution stick by getting your home to help. Remember (and incorporate) these three ideas for a stress-banishing home.
1. Create a mini spa in your shower to retreat to

Don’t clutter up your shower space with a ton of one-tried, never-used bottles of shampoo and conditioner. And do spend a little time and money splurging on elements that could make for a spa experience, from a little sprig of fresh eucalyptus over your shower head to something to sip on while you shower.
2. Exercise (you don’t need special equipment!)
Exercise has shown to affect our moods in a positive way. Whether you don’t have a lot of time or a lot of space, don’t let any excuses get in the way of getting in a little exercise around the house when you’re feeling stressed this year.
3. Make (and spend time in) a happy spot
Ideally your whole home is a happy spot for you. But, if that’s not the case (or you need something more when things really get stressed), create a happy spot that’s never used for paying the bills and always has a special treat or activity at the ready that you can escape to.
