Why I use color: For me color is a mood regulator. When I feel tired or down? I can find an aqua blue to revive me. If I’m feeling anxious & fretful? I can always find just the right cool grassy green tones or squid ink blue to soothe me ~ ahhh better!

2 good color tips:

1. Go to Home Depot or Lowes & grab a fistful of paint chips you like, the ones that pop at you most- don’t worry they’ll make more –just take ’em. Now scatter these everywhere: wallet, glove compartment, desk drawer, taped inside your medicine cabinet. The newer peel & stick kind are great for lining all your things with. Stick a few where you will see them most: on your coffee maker, shampoo bottle, inside your mailbox. Hello fave colors everyday.

2. Mini Sharpies! Portable short sharp snaps of exciting color that you can stash anywhere & everywhere. I love purple & teal the most.

2 good color resources:

1. EBay. Oh yeah. I search for vintage fabric like Bark cloth to get my color fix. My personal little museum of color ~ I always find something to look at there & it’s the nice price: free!

2. That Crayola crayon 64 box is tough to beat. Their colored metallic pencils are gorgeous too & prices are within reach of everyone.
