5 Awesome Dining Tables by Structured Green

Last year we profiled the amazing, southern-based furniture company, Structured Green. At the time we missed it, but the company has designed an amazing series of unique dining tables — our favorite is the Spider Table, which can be customized to have your train line of choice inlaid into the table top. There's another table that reflects the geography and light pollution of major american cities! Check them all out after the jump.

All of Structured Green's furniture is built locally from rapidly renewable, certified or reclaimed materials, and finished with non-toxic, low-VOC finishes.

1 Spider Table, $3,195: As currently shown, the Spider Table illustrates Boston's MBTA subway lines. However, the table can be custom built with any metro or mass transit design. The table comes standard made of bamboo, but can be built in any combination of wood such as walnut or oak, and is finished in water based clear coat, or raw food-grade tung oil and beeswax.
2 Night Light Table, $3,195: This gorgeous table was designed using a pixilated photograph taken from the space station, America's major cities sparkle via aluminum inlays through the FSC wood table top. "Designed with concerns for mankind's disruption of bird migration patterns and light pollution, Structured Green's 'Night Light Table' illustrates the impact of light pollution through the location of the US's major cities." The table is available in FSC Black Walnut or FSC White Oak, and is finished in Low VOC water based Clear Coat.
3 Scatter Table, $3,195: Inspired by Pick Up Stix, this fun table is made from a solid slab of FSC Certified walnut inlaid with random strips of contrasting FSC maple.
4 Fragment Table, $3,195: The Fragment table is gorgeously geometric — designed utilizing FSC Certified walnut or white oak with a reclaimed heart pine inlay.
5 Finn Table, $3,195: A minimal version of the tables above, the Finn Table is a simple slab of FSC black walnut or FSC white oak, fitted with either metal or wooden legs.

In addition to using eco-friendly materials, Structured Green also strives to run a sustainable business: the Savannah-based company doesn't use air conditioning, is aiming to be 100% Carbon Neutral, uses dual flush toilets, implements a full recycling program and is running an almost paperless office.
