5 DIY Travel Journals for Kids

We always bring lots of activities for our kids when we go on a trip. Our favorite activity, though, is a travel journal; it provides an outlet for busy hands as well as a great memento once we've returned. And we like that it helps our kids think about their vacation while they are experiencing it. We've rounded up several DIY journals that will inspire your kids to get writing.

1. Felt Travel Journal at American Crafts. This sturdy journal is pocket-sized and has lots of places to store ephemera and to draw and write.

2. Art Travel Journal at Dear Lizzy. Include embellishments that your kids might enjoy in your book, and make pages unique by punching through them.

3. 3 Ring Kid's Travel Journal at Dancing Commas. Gather whatever pages you like, and create your own book by using 3 separate rings. Add pre-printed pages and envelopes to hold treasures.

4. Printable Travel Journal
at Travel Turtle. Print out as many of these sheets as you need to create a fill-in-the-blank journal for your kids.

5. School Travel Journal
at Mom Endeavors. If your child is missing school for a trip, make a journal that will keep her writing and will provide a great presentation when you get back.

Do you use a travel journal for your kids or your family?
