5 Great Looking Hotels Under $250: Australia

Later this month I'll be traveling to Australia for the first time. The country is huge and varied, so it was hard to narrow down where to visit in a relatively short amount of time. But I loved doing the research, and found that Australia has a lot of style! While I won't be able to visit them all, here are five awesome looking hotels that won't completely break the bank — down under!

In Australia bed and breakfast accommodations are actually quite common, so we've included those in our list, too.

Art Series Hotel Group
Rates: From $219/night
Melbourne (The Cullen), South Yarra (The Olsen), Melbourne (The Blackman)

Each Art Series Hotel is unique, taking design inspiration from one of Australia's artistic greats, whether it be living legend John Olsen or the controversially inclined Adam Cullen. Each suite is appointed with up to the minute comforts and technology, while original artworks and prints adorn every wall.

28 Mary Street Bed & Breakfast
Rates: $175-220/night
St Kilda, Melbourne

Built in 1880 in the heart of St Kilda, Melbourne, 28, Mary Street's B&B was restored by former owners, and has recently been refurbished to offer luxury bed and breakfast accommodations. Featuring a stunning collection of contemporary artwork and retaining many original features throughout, the B&B offers an eclectic mix of antique and contemporary furniture.

Kathryn's on Queen

Junktique Emporium
Rates: From $200/night

A contemporary and eclectic apartment in inner Sydney, Glebe, full of artwork and furnished with a unique worldly style and flair, ideal for those that would prefer to experience an apartment with character instead of a stark and impersonal hotel room.
The apartment has two large bedrooms with comfortable King Size beds, wardrobes and dressers, a large open space living room and dining room to comfortably seat 6 persons, a full kitchen a bathroom a built in laundry.

The Kirketon Hotel
Rates: From $150/night

Nestled amongst the hype of vibrant Darlinghurst, but far enough to experience the true meaning of staying in an intimate 40 room boutique hotel in the heart of Sydney's restaurant, bar and nightclub district. Flooded with genuine warmth and charisma, you'll experience all the charm from the moment you walk through the lobby and venture down the mysterious hallways filled with mirrors and red carpet. Each room shadows the common area's ambiance but is transformed into a quiet hideaway of warmth and coziness.
