There are so many fabulous potters selling their wares on Etsy and in local markets, and as a fellow "clayist" I'm quite critical of form, color, function, scale, proportion, and texture, so it took much deliberation to gather my favorite designers. Each has their strength: Davistudio's colors and delicacy are unbeatable; JclayPottery brings you down to earth with their shino-glazed dinner sets; Suite One Studio's artful simplicity seeps into this potter's porcelain clay body forms as well as her lace-inspired glaze designs; Utile Mud's hearty, colorful, stoneware forms are perfect for the everyday; Erin Moran's graphically-patterned platters inspire me to throw a dinner party.
